AYSO PROGRAMS

AYSO has a program for every age and stage of life and all are governed by our Six Philosophies: Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. We invite everyone to join us and enjoy this beautiful game we love!

BC AYSO HAS FALL/ SPRING PROGRAMS. The cost for registering is the same whether you play fall only, spring only, or both seasons. When you register, you are automatically registered for both seasons. The coach will contact the team prior to each season and you can notify the coach at that time the player's intention of playing that season.

Programs are based on birth year of the player.

AYSO Playground 4u

AYSO Playground Soccer is designed for 3-5-year-olds. This special program features Activity Leaders, certified through the AYSO National Coaching Program, who understand the needs and capabilities of this age group and are sensitive to the needs and bonding experience of the parent. Our 4u playground is COED.

5u and 6u divisions

4-5 y

In AYSO Schoolyard, 4-5-year-olds get to play soccer in an age-specific program. Each team is comprised of three players and a parent/adult for each on the field. The children learn soccer skills like kicking, dribbling and throwing-in the ball, in a low-pressure setting. Schoolyard us about gradually exposing children to soccer as a game without the pressure to win.

The AYSO Core program is another name for AYSO’s Primary program, which is home to a majority of our players and spans from 6U – 19U divisions. These teams are by gender. 8u plays locally while the 10u-19u programs will play locally and travel to other locations in the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo area.
