Weather Policies
The safety of our players and their families are of paramount importance to AYSO. The following weather policies are in place to promote the safety of our players, volunteers, and spectators.
ALWAYS ASSUME THAT GAMES WILL BE PLAYED
If a game is called off due to weather/field conditions the Byron Center AYSO Regional Commissioner will communicate that to all participants with an email through Sports Connect. Please maintain a current email address in your account here. These notices may also appear on our Facebook page:

Games are not called off for rain alone and will be played in a reasonable amount of rainfall. If at game time, or during the game, rain becomes significant the Referees and Coaches may come to a joint decision to call off a game. The Game Cancellation procedures must be followed if a game is called off by coaches.
Having a practice in the rain is up to the coaches discretion.
Thunder/Lightning
If thunder is heard or lightning is see all AYSO activities are to be suspended immediately and shelter should be sought. Activities may begin again 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard or lightning is seen.
